Fun in Fall – November Goings On
Hi everyone! My apologies for the lack of posts this month. I transferred my domain recently, so that required that I hit the “pause” button for a little while on new posts. You may notice that there’s still a few hiccups with some things on the site, which I am working diligently to fix.
Now…on to the subject at hand!
The fall season has continued to be quite wonderful. We’ve been enjoying really amazing, mild (yet also strange) weather this season, so it’s given me the chance to enjoy many more days outside here in NYC and beyond. Here are some shots of my favorite activities from the past month.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Those of you who are regular readers are already well aware of my fondness for Brooklyn Botanic Garden thanks to some of my previous posts. However, it never occurred to me to visit the garden during the fall because, well, who associates flowers with the fall? But I tell you, the garden is just as vibrant as ever this time of year, and the photos below prove it.
Anniversary Weekend Upstate – Hudson, NY
We celebrated our second wedding anniversary earlier this month with a weekend trip to the Hudson Valley once again. But this time, we explored a town that was new to us – Hudson. Given that it’s a fave of Brooklynites, we’d heard a LOT about it. And I have to say, we definitely now understand what all the hype was about. In addition to super friendly locals, amazing restaurants and bars, and fantastic shops, Hudson is an architectural gem. It features soo many beautiful, old school buildings in a myriad of styles. I love that they include placards on the building that let you know the particular style of a building. BTW – if you do travel to Hudson, be sure to stop by Ör Gallery and Tavern, the Red Dot, Olde Hudson and Tanzy’s – all of them are definitely worth a visit. You can also have a wonderful night’s stay at the Inn at Ca’Mea, and be sure to reserve a table for dinner at Wm Farmer & Sons – your taste buds will thank you a thousand fold.
- Our charming Craftsman room at the Inn at Ca’Mea

Thanksgiving
This year, the hubby and I decided to stay in New York rather than heading down south. Although I definitely missed seeing my folks, our Thanksgiving dinner ended up being absolutely AMAZING thanks to the fantastic cooking skills of my wonderful sister in law.
I’m definitely grateful for everything that I’ve gotten to experience so far this year – great clients, fun times with friends and quality time with family. Definitely looking forward to closing the year out on a great note, so bring on the rest of the holiday season!!!
